The Daily Dose of it All

Busy Busy

I really intended on updating this thing every night for the first few weeks at least, but once those snow days hit it just seemed like I was too busy every night. I don’t even remember the last thing that I updated on. Let’s start with the feet.

Every morning I wake up, take off the acid I put on the night before, blow with a hot hair dryer and then put aluminum chloride on the bottom of my feet to keep everything dry. I repeat this in the afternoon if possible, and at night I soak my feet in 120 degree water, which is absolutely no fun. At least I am getting to the point where I can do it without screaming and yelling because of the pain, which is quite embarrassing when Jacqueline is over. But she has been such a big help, and has helped me with everything so far. Reasons like that are why I am in love with her.

Moving on to school. I am finally out of physics! Today was my first day not in the class, and instead I get to sit next to Jacqueline and work on my stats homework for an hour. Having that nice break in between my day and right before lunch is the perfect treat. Tomorrow we are getting our topics in speech that we have to write and present a speech on. I think I will be nervous the first time, but then again I don’t know. I have gotten so comfortable when it comes to talking in front of a class over the last year in school. Today in marketing we had a mini DECA competition, which is when we role-play with a parent volunteer about certain business situations. I thought I was going to do terrible but I guess I did alright. I think I will compete with it. I get to wear my suit to the events, and I may turn out to be pretty good at it. We’ll see where it goes though. Other than that school is pretty much the same. I am giving it a bit more effort than I did last semester, but it is still pretty earlier.

The last two days I have been up and at the YMCA at 5:00 in the morning and working out. Yesterday it was the elliptical and today I just lifted weights for about 45 minutes. I get to weigh myself tomorrow and I am pretty excited. There is something very relaxing about waking up at 4:45 in the morning. I am tired throughout the whole day, and all night too, but I think it is still worth it. If I have time to throw in a nap after school it is definitely alright and manageable. I also went to church on Sunday morning for the 7:00 mass, which also felt pretty good to go to.

I just got to Skype with my mom for about 20 minutes while she is in China. Pretty awesome considering it costs like 5 bucks a minute for us to talk over the phone. I also just read Conan O’Brien’s statement about how NBC is ruining late night, and how he feels the exact same way. That’s why I watch Letterman. I am definitely not a fan of Leno and never will be.

I am going to go pick up a Subway sandwich for my dad and I and then head to the YMCA again I think where I can catch the beginning of American Idol and maybe be distracted from the pain I will be feeling. Jacqueline is at the Blues game so I am going to try and keep busy. When I get back I am going to do the foot stuff, lay in bed and do it all over again in the morning. Enjoy the rest of your night.
